There was a special announcement at the last meeting and that was the recent engagement of Debbie Barboza to John Dumphy, they have set a wedding date for October of this year. Congratulations to both of them.

Our February Annual critique with David Scher was very informative and helpful to the artists. David gave his perspective from an art collector's point of view. Thank you David.

On September 26, Norm Lacombe a Westfield artist and a member of HAL did a demonstration in oil paint. For those of you who missed out on this demo, it was a lot of fun! I would like to thank everyone who brought food and helped out with clean up. Thanks to Debra Barboza for setting up and making coffee, And a special thanks to Norm Lacombe for a wonderful demonstration.

Just a reminder: we have a canopy you may rent for outdoor shows, 10 x 10. We want to extend an invitation to the membership to rent it for $25 per day, with a returnable deposit. This is a significant discount from formal rental stores, and we consider this a members benefit. Make reservations so you won’t be disappointed.

All members are eligible to submit a photo of a piece of artwork for the website: If you need help with this, contact Walter Hamilton at 532-7518.
The image file format for digital pictures should be Jpeg at 72 dpi. Images should not include picture frame, wall or people. Email file to webmaster@holyokeartleague.org, with it please include your name, phone number, email address and website address (if you have one).
